Rumour: Google Phone is nigh

Today's rumour is one that has been presented with cast-iron certainty by the originating source, but as far as we can tell, has no more evidence to back it up than when we first reported on it.

Yes, it's the much-anticipated Google Phone.

Respected Indian news outlet, Rediff, is reporting that the GPhone is only weeks away from a simultaneous North American and European launch.

FCA approval is the only hurdle that Google has to cross before a launch can be given the go ahead.

Not surprisingly Google refused to comment.
