HP makes new iPAQs official
HP has confirmed the rumours that have been circulating for several days about their new iPAQ smartphone range.
There are two new models, the iPAQ 614 and iPAQ 914.
The 914 is nominally the higher end of the two handsets. It's a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE device and also features tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. There's a full QWERTY keyboard to compliment the 510 MHz XScale processor, 128 MB of RAM, 256 MB of ROM and 2.5 inch touchscreen.
The 614 drops the keyboard in favour of a numerical keypad and the innovative 'Smart Touch' wheel, but it keeps all the connectivity options.
Sit down while we tell you the prices. Both handsets are going to cost around $900.
