T-Mobile goes dark with the Shadow

T-Mobile goes dark with the Shadow

T-Mobile USA has unveiled the HTC-built Shadow, a smartphone aimed squarely at light users.

The Shadow is of the slider format and features a large 65K 2.6-inch display and 2 Megapixel camera. Connectivity takes the form of quad-band GSM, EDGE and WiFi.

According to Robert Dotson, president and CEO, T-Mobile USA, "Shadow finally makes staying connected to people simple, fun and easy - and all without the hassle of using a complicated device. This is not a productivity tool. This phone is designed for people who have lives beyond work."

The T-Mobile Shadow smartphone has actually been designed and manufactured by HTC. "We partnered exclusively with T-Mobile to help them deliver a deep communications experience that is built around the customer," said Peter Chou, president and CEO of HTC.

T-Mobile Shadow will be available from October 31st.
