AT&T launch WiFi BlackBerry

AT&T have announced that the BlackBerry 8820 with WiFi will be available today for around $300 with a two year contract.

This is the first BlackBerry with WiFi to go on sale in the USA.

The BlackBerry 8820 uses the full range of wireless standards including 802.11a providing more comprehensive data access than many of its rivals.

WiFi aside, the 8820 has quad-band GSM/EDGE support, built-in GPS, support for AT&T's Push-To-Talk service, Bluetooth 2.0, a built-in media player, and a microSD card slot for expanded memory.
