Samsung to upgrade the i600
Samsung is reportedly to rollout a new version of its i600 smartphone which is, not surprisingly called the i620.
In actual fact the i620 shares little in common with the i600 Blackjack part from its much unloved QWERTY keyboard layout.
Most noticeably, the i620 is a slider phone, and comes clad is shiny silver. The rest of the features are adequate, if not stunning - Wi-Fi, HSDPA, tri-band GSM, a front facing VGA camera, rear facing 2 megapixel camera, and a direction pad which has been flattened out into a wheel.
The tri-band nature of the phone implies an Asia / Europe launch for the i620 at first.
There are, as yet, no details of pricing or release dates.
